DislikedI'm still getting to grips with the code but I will work my way to adapt it, it's a matter of time, lots of time (n coder here) .Ignored
I guess you have worked out that you:
- go to void ReadIndicatorValues(), comment out most/all of what is there and replace it with your own indi calls. Comment out rather than delete so that the code is still there should you change your mind - my invariable practise these days. Use /* a block of commented out code */ to comment out whole blocks of code.
- go to void LookForTradeSetup() and replace the conditionals with those that suit yourself.
- go to void LookForTradeTrigger() and replace the conditionals with those that suit yourself.
I coded this with the possibility in mind that people might want to play with their own indies/variations and made it as simple as I could for them to make changes.
A couple of tips for you:
- As it is weekend, make sure the final call in int init() is start(); This will force the bot to do a first run around the code even though you are getting no ticks from the market.
- Use Alerts to examine the values of variables if you are not sure if such-and-such is working properly. For example, imagine you are not sure if W1MaVal = GetMa(W1Tf, W1Period, 0, MODE_SMMA, PRICE_MEDIAN, 0); is returning a value that is appropriate. Straight after the function call, you code Alert(W1MaVal); and you will see an alert showing the value. Remember to delete the alert once you no longer need it. Any coders here know of a better way to achieve this?
Have fun. Sing out if you get stuck.
