DislikedI guess this isn't the time or place, but never-the-less.....I have tried to understand VSA over quite a period of time, and I just can't see how it works....and that's a fact! I see VSA exponents saying things that 'sellers are coming in'....or 'buyers are starting to turn up' etc etc etc. I can't for the life of me understand how that can be deduced from looking at the volume on my tradestation. I would think if it was going to be stated that (say) buyers are coming in here......you must have a hell of a feed, from just about every bank etc in...Ignored
Dislikedabsolutely nothing wrong with that...
it's not an indy, it's a way of reading market action, and quite a complex one at that, you can't learn VSA over night or put an EA magic bullet on your charts...Ignored

Dislikedthats why you need to spend some money in decent datafeeds. esginal eg aggregates the data of over 200 banks, ecns etc. or cgq which by design has a decent feed. you can easily go and trade the currency futures, because it is a fact that those who move the spot markets also trade the futures markets accordingly.Ignored
DislikedTom...
This is not personal, this is just publicly questioning a herd's believe in a way of trading without properly understanding it or even know how the data they follow is formed into that particular visual presentation.

QuoteDislikedPosters on this forum are very good in defending a way of trading without having any clue how their strategy is formed.

I could be way wrong here, and cudos to those who can make money using volume, but I see it the same as every other indi, and that is 'after the fact' information......unless you've got that hell feed of info from somewhere.
I am interested in this discussion, and maybe this isn't the place, but I think it's worth persuing.

DislikedYou would actually be surprised just how similar some bucket shop 'voulmes' are to the 'real deal' from Esignal. The Broco Trader volumes are very tradeable imo.
Malc and Dr G will have better details, but Esignal's volume feed is collated from over 200 different liquidity sources. That's not a bad start at all.Ignored
DislikedI think I may have got a taster a few weeks ago with your calling of Snatch.

DislikedI use volume to trade equities, and have done so for 2 decades. VSA fans in FX are missing the entire point of how it is portrayed and why it does not work in FX.Ignored
