DislikedHi Jiva,
Lets start from scratch... this is the EA based on your rules... forget the last one it was wrong. Try it out.
CCI is between -100 and 100... last candle 2 bars ago closed between two MA's and for sell last candle closed above the low and high of the MA's. Reverse for buys.
DSS is red for buy and green for short.Ignored
DislikedIf we could just get 65%/35% for either winning or losing... We'd be golden...
Thanks. Spent all day fiddling with the code for cci. Learned a lot.
Got 14.2 inverse set with the cci the way I wanted it. But guess what still the same ratio, best is 45%/55%. It's like no matter what settings, what indicators, whatever!! 45%/55% and that ratio is not enough for profitable trading...
Thanks for mq4.Ignored
&&iCCI(NULL,0,55,PRICE_CLOSE,1)<100 &&iCCI(NULL,0,55,PRICE_CLOSE,1)>-100
DislikedHey, thanks...
Yes, I know Taiyakixz is expert coder. I guess I was meandering a little too much for him to tolerate, but for me it is part of the creative process, I look at a lot of things, some I use right away, some I store for possible use later. But I guess it was too much for him, coding is very exacting and requires definite and precise directions.
But I think you have caught up the drift of what was developing with the "Dragon Twins".
I was wondering if anyone on the thread was following the development. I agree we are...Ignored

DislikedHi Jiva. Thanks for sharing this trade with us.
Do you have itemized results? I have 3 trades, I've developed, and have entered most of the pertinent info into a database I've created. One of the things that this has really helped with is adjusting the stop loss. Each winner and loser (over 55 weeks) has a record of the number of pips that went against the trade. By averaging that number I can fine tune my stop.
This trade (looks to me) like it may be using an excessive stop. Of course I haven't the experience of working with 14.2, but I would...Ignored
DislikedGreat response from everyone. Thanks so much. Feel like my head is butting up against a wall. Something isn't gelling.
Can't seem to get the ratio. A strategy needs to win at least 65% of the time. Best I can seem to get is 55%. That's just slightly over flipping a coin.
Will be taking a good look at the suggestions and pointers.Ignored
DislikedIts not bad if you know what trend you are in... a good trend filter is needed.
If this is in place you can actually take long term trades with 30 pip stops... pretty good.. try 150 or 300 tp you get alotIgnored
Dislikedi put ur rules in a candle indy so i could easily look back n see where a ea would trade

DislikedHi,
I saw your setup and your entry is followed by next possible setup after swing and that one should be adjusted for TP as well (here you have less space for pips than in previous one)Ignored
DislikedThis is part of a strategy we were developing for automation. We found terrific backtested data but the walk forward testing did not give acceptable results. So we are trading manually in demo to study the trades better.Ignored
DislikedHave you considered that automation may not be workable from the standpoint of broker intervention? Each year there is competition set up by one, or more of the brokers, in which they invite all ea manufacturers to participate for prizes.
Is this a conspiracy theory? Maybe, but I for one, do not trust these guys. mhoIgnored
