DislikedThe only way to know if it is worth it or not would be to poll former members on whether it was worth the costIgnored
On the other hand, if J16 wasnt a profitable trader, that would throw a completely different light on the situation. The materials presented might be the same, but I think I would be justified in feeling dissatisfaction, mainly on the grounds that if the originator of the materals cannot use that knowledge to trade profitably, then its unlikely that I could benefit from the same material.
I quite like some of the Van Tharp training materials, and its common knowlege that he cant trade, and he doesnt trade. That doesn't detract from the usefullness of the material, but at least any potential purchaser knows the deal upfront.
The jacko fiasco is a great example of how peoples perceptions can flip one hundred and eighty degrees in a heartbeat. If it where proved that J16 was not the profitable trader he claims to be, I can assure you dozens of the people who now defend his methods, would suddenly become his harshest critics. You know thats the case.
Conversely if it where to be revealed tommorrow that J16 is a multi billionaire as a result of his trading, who is now retiring to run for president, you can bet that critics would reavaluate their perception.
And that, is the basic problem, perceptions (both good and bad) are not being based on factual evidence, and so, they are likely to be unreliable. The value is current and ex members will be context sensitive.
30 days ago Jacko could do no wrong, and now people want to lynch him, but of course in reality, jacko today is exactly the same guy jacko was 2 years ago. Its just your perception that changed.
