DislikedIs anyone using mbtrading.
Am struggling to stick to the rules.
when i add a short they average my whole trade so any positions i take off are taken from the average whole trade price i dont seem to be able exit individual specific trades.Ignored
DislikedHi guys,
I hope you are all doing fine.
I don't know if Graeme is around but I would like to ask a question about stalcking positions.
As I have red the thread once again, I am a bit confuse about the way to add positions after a flying buddha for example.
Do we have to start adding positions after evry 50 % fib of the previous candle? Because, if this is the way to do it, it will be possible to have 10-20 positions or more when a pair is trending, like the eur-jpy yesterday for example. This pair dropped 300 pips, so if I look at the chart,...Ignored
DislikedPaul, I use MB Trading, but I haven't noticed that before. That being said, up until recently I've not been in the habit of having more than one position open on a pair at a time, so it wouldn't have come up 'til now. However, I did have several positions open last week (on demo account) on a single pair and did not notice any averaging taking place. I'll pay attention to it more closely now that you've brought it up and let you know what I find out over the next couple of days.

Disliked50% fib of previous M5 candle. Goal should be to get SL on first position to BE before entering another to limit risk exposure to just the most recent position entered. Keep adding positions (as opportunities present) every 10-15 pips or so until you get one stopped out for a loss, then stop adding. Have to admit, this is all easier said than done, but should get easier with practice (at least, that's what I'm hoping). Somewhere a ways back, Graeme goes over this in great detail. I believe it was around the area where he introduced us to "Joe"...Ignored
DislikedDave was going through some of the old posts in the thread and came across ur backtest results. Great work on ur part.
I'd just like to ask you about the 20 FB no trades. I was under the impression as per Graeme's original...Ignored
DislikedHey Paul,
I just took a series of test trades on my MBT demo account and can confirm that there is NO averaging taking place at my end, regardless of which order I remove positions. Hopefully, the good folks at MBT will help you get to the bottom of it.

Dislikeddo you use the price ladder?
when i add positions it shows on the ladder the average entry price and on the p/l dispay based on the average.
can you exit individual entries.
Also in the commissions tab what figure you put in i used 2.95/100000 but the figures in the p/l come out at 59000 per 10000 lot lolIgnored
DislikedAre you using MT4 platform? Or are you using MBT Desktop? I'm guessing it's the latter. I'm using MT4 and don't have anything called a 'price ladder' that I'm aware of. And, yes, I can exit any individual positions with no problem. Also, the commission price calculates automatically for me on MT4. I don't have the ability to enter it anywhere, it's just appears in my 'Commission' column.
