DislikedCoolshades,
I have the same, my SL is set for 2 pips, but it is usually - 3 or4.
Perhaps its because I am only demo trading with the FX game that O--da has?

Dislikedanother intraday volume winner to cover losses on the other system for today. yielded something like 1:2+ ish
on the other system i really need to investigate whats happening because i open an oanda trade box and set my sl to 2 pips and hit the trigger but when it actually stops out i end up getting losses of 3-4 pips.Ignored

DislikedWell done! I haven't been trading the 15m charts for a while too... been getting enough fast paced trading using the Central Banks system! I have done a couple of intraday PA/trend trades on the H4 though. I should really post some charts but haven't had time just yet.
I got slipped on Oanda this morning too. My 2 pip loss was actually a 3 pip loss... I can only think it's slippage on the system? An inherent problem with scalping type strategies... if it keeps happening that could seriously effect the outcome/success of the strategy. Hmmmm? I...Ignored
DislikedGuys are you using a 2pip SL + 0.9 spread = 2.9, or a 1.1 SL + 0.9 spread = 2 pip.
Dan even with some slippage surly this could still be a great system?Ignored

Disliked2 pips including the spread.
It depends on the win rate. If you only get one win per month on average - you can deal with all the other trades being stopped out for a max of 2 pips however if you keep getting slipped you are not going to make any money.
I'm still going to trade it... but I am racking my position size right down as I am not as convinced as I first was.
I didn't trade NY today as I was out.Ignored

DislikedBut we will not alway get stopped out, I closed for +2 in ny today giving me a free trade in the morning. I think time will tell over the coming weeks.Ignored
Dislikedi think there is scope in this system. one success can more than pay for many losses. i did however reduce my order size for ny.Ignored
DislikedYes I'm not totally dropping it or anything... one 100 pip winner will get you back to breakeven from 50 2 pip stop outs... which I would have thought was unlikely. But one 100 pip winner will only get you back to breakeven from 25 4 pip stop outs... which there is a more significant chance of occurring.
Anyway, we shall wait and see - all I recommend is to make sure you only use money you can afford to loose - at least until we have a good amount of data to go by!

DanIgnored
