DislikedHi Big E,
...I have just downloaded the TDI into my chart. However, I find it really slow my chart down and it takes almost 6 secs to switch in between different time frames. Is there anything I've done wrong?...

Perhaps I can offer some pointers here, Shaz, as I have experienced this myself.
The various steps I took helped. Here is a checklist for you to tick through, starting from the most mundane of tasks but of cause the more significant ones.
1) Delete all unwanted files using Disk Cleanup.
2) Clean up your Registry.
3) Defrag your disk regularly using Disk Defragmenter (or some other better free programs).
4) Check that you are virus and spyware protected, updated and scanned.
5) Check that you do not have too many widgets and gadgets active by exiting them (right-end of taskbar)
(My humblest apologies ( ) for having to list the above but you would be surprised I get asked to do that by many of my "friends" and "friends'" friends". (Might I add, who will not be “friends” for long if they keep returning with their computers...
And so to answer your question. No, you have done nothing wrong. It happens to everyone.
I observed that it helps to keep the whole sub-directory of MetaTrader as uncluttered as possible. Delete whatever files you no longer wish or need to keep.
From the folder C:/.../experts/indicators... delete whatever superfluous indicators that may be there, ones that you tried and experimented with, but will no longer use. (Too precious to throw away? Well, just place them in a folder elsewhere on your computer).
The same goes for C:/.../YourBroker/templates...
Do these steps physically from your directories and from within MetaTrader i.e. from the open charts. Save and only have what you want or need to use.
If these steps help, good on you! You are on your way. PIP PIP Pooray!
Otherwise, a fresh reinstall will always work.
When you have the profile that you like, e.g. one with all the currency pairs you wish to study, use the same template throughout that profile.
The final step to do is to install another instance of MetaTrader from another broker and use only that for your experiments.
Hope this helps... and open to more input from anyone else.
From one noob to another newb...
