I think what you say is correct. Sho said "i use only one time frame.with enough practice you can do that as well."
He also told us that identifying the impulse waves is the most important thing "IMPULSIVE moves(momentum) is god father of all trading method".
The impulse moves are evident on the 15m TF.
The reason we watch higher TF is to be aware of S/R that we might be about to smash into on the 15m chart.
BUT
We only take trades in the direction of the channel when the PA is telling us that price wants to go higher. I'm noticing that most of the time the PA on the 15M chart will tell me in advance when there's trouble ahead on the higher TF and so I'm not getting the signal to go against this "invisible" S/R from the higher TF.
I think that is how Sho manages to trade without reference to the higher TF. Of course, watching the higher TF does let you set targets better but again, Sho takes profits based on a multiple of the risk or on PA warnings.
