DislikedBe very careful in MT4. The 'volume' indicator is nothng more than a tick counter. All it tells you is how many times the price changed in that bar. How many ticks.
You could make the assumption that if there are lots of price changes in a bar, then there was lots of activity on that bar. This does not represent volume at all.
To apply the information in this thread correctly one must get a futures broker account and use true volume data from that. Problem is the price may differ. You could always trade currency contracts on a futures account...Ignored

Having the ability to see the depth of market and how many orders in lots ($'s) are entering the market or seeing how much money is waiting in the form of pending orders at certain levels.
You can see this information in the futures market. And the volume data in the futures market can be seen as a DOM (Depth of Market) where you can see hwo many orders are above and below the current market price. Trading that information is not as easy as it would initially seem though. Take my word for it, I have tried.
