This may get long winded so bear with me......
It is about 11 pm eastern time U.S. as I start to write this long winded explanation that I really hope will positively impact your trading career.
If you follow any of the threads in the trading systems section you probably already know that a couple more frauds were exposed today. People pretending to be something they are not, or hiding behind another user name in an attempt to keep crowing like a rooster. Have you ever noticed that a large percentage of threads in the trading systems section NEVER show a losing trade?? When a follower posts a losing trade the leader of the thread talks about some obscure reason they would not have taken the trade. Of course this reason is always determined after the fact. Rather convenient isn't it?
It takes a good bit of nerve to open a trade when you have no idea what is going to happen in the future.
So what is this big secret?? What is this all important concept that will determine whether you succeed at Forex or become just another statistic?
Among the 100's of thousands of threads on this site, there is not one single thread OR person who will ever make you successful at Forex. Not this thread, not any thread, period. There I said it. In fact, I think this site is actually hurting your trading and mine.
Well, what makes me think that?? I know what my average daily pip intake is for every day over the last 2 years. I know that when my average daily posts on forums goes up, my daily profit goes down. I also know that I learn the most about trading Forex on the weekends when I do my studying. There hasn't been 1 single thread on Forex Factory that I can say stands out as teaching me something. In fact, I would have to say that for the most part this and other sites have created nothing but confusion in my trading.
So, do you want to be successful at trading Forex or not?? Well then send me $1,495 via paypal by midnight tonight....... couldn't resist, I know someone reading this post was waiting for the sales pitch. There won't be so
If you really want to improve your trading log off of this and any other trading site for the next month. Don't even think about logging in and checking someones posts. Focus on nothing but what is in between your ears and what is on your screens. No cheating, don't log off and then come here to view threads anonymously. You will not see any benefit if you do that.
I promise you that if you follow the plan of action below for 1 month, at the end of that month you will have a clarity and focus about trading you have never experienced before.
Plan of action:
1. Beginning at approximately 7 a.m. Eastern Time U.S. September 02, 2009 (about 11 am GMT) log off of this and any other trading site you visit.
2. Spend every free second you have either studying or trading Forex. Now this doesn't mean let the dog starve to death because you have to trade. Take care of what needs to be taken care of, but spend the rest of the time trading.
3. Keep a very detailed journal on your computer (not here on FF). Track everything that you FEEL is important. I promise that what you think is important now, won't be what's important at the end of the month.
4. Very Important: Do not get mad at losing trades, don't go nuts over winning trades.
5. Trade normally. 0.5 to 2.0% risk with whatever system or methodology you choose.
6. Come back on October 02,2009 just long enough to post your results and chat with the rest of the group, then log off again.
Why listen to what I am saying? I just told you that nothing on this or any other site will make you successful so why am I special.... I'm not. Maybe 2 weeks into this you think it is garbage and go back to posting here. Ok, what did you lose? Nothing, in fact for that time frame you eliminated the single biggest distraction to your trading. That can't be all bad.
So what am I going to do during this time period? The same as everyone else. At 7 a.m. I will log off and focus on trading. My goal is to show everyone the potential of Forex. I have access to 3 accounts (other than Dukascopy). One has just over 1,500 USD, one has 250 USD and the other is a freebie I got from FXCM that has a whopping 25 USD in it. I think these represent the majority of what people have to start trading with in their accounts. Some have more, ok so what? I won't show the Dusascopy account since it doesn't represent what I consider to be the majority of people trading.
I will risk less than 2% per trade except for the FXCM account but as it grows I will reduce it to 2% as well. On October 2nd I will post copies from all three accounts (minus sensitive information).
How much do I expect to gain? Well I think I should be at around $25 billion or so..... I am sure that some expected that as well. LOL! In reality, I don't know, I still haven't perfected looking into the future yet.
Well, that's it for the rambling. Maybe you think I have totally lost it and gone off the deep end. That's ok, at least you had a good laugh at this thread. But for those who even remotely agree with what I said, try this out for yourself. Until you do, these are nothing more than words in a forum full of fakes, liars, cheats and wannabe's.
