DislikedHi all, just finished reading this great thread and thanks to Samurai for starting it and to everyone for all the hard work done with this very interesting EA.
Sergiel,
I'm interested to see you are using an increasement value; I would see this variable as being useful for preventing too many orders being placed in the 'wrong' direction if the trend reverses against the user (when both long and short orders are used) whilst Max Orders controls the total live orders placed.
As we are driving the EA, our oders are all placed on the retracement...Ignored
DislikedI was wondering when one should look at the daily chart for confirmation of where the trend is heading?Ignored
DislikedIn the Firebird manual it states that if Increasement is set to Zero then it just uses Pipstep.
I assume (but would be glad if someone knows for sure) that max orders is just for the chart that the EA is loaded onIgnored
Disliked5-8openEMA_Cross_Arr..mq4
What settings are we using for this indicator. I have the metatrader platform running on a VSP and have the settings.
fasterema 5
slowerema 8
On my laptop I have
fasterema 1
slowerema 2
I seemed to have downloaded two different version. Did I get one of them by misstake....I assume based on the name it should be fasterema 5 slower ema 8
I do remember some discussion of 1 ema and 2 ema...Ignored
DislikedI atach screenshot of my template i use ADX croses no repainting, Xpma, and the key indicator, Aroon.
I'm using this setup with high succes, but would be very helpful an alarm on aroon indicator when crossower appears.
Anyone can help me to put an alarm on aroon with message of pair where crossower appears?
I attach my indicators.
THX in advance.
Sorry for my bad english, im just learning.Ignored
DislikedMax order is the maximum open order per pair, I think its nescesary to prevent continuing open order when u against the market.
If increasement is set to zero, it means that the increasement feature is off.
Not sure bout Ma_type but all I know the result is like this.
Backtest for 1 month period on Aug 2008, GBPUSD pair, TP 100pips, short only, other setting is default
MA timeframe = 15
Ma type = 0
Result: 3009pips
MA timeframe = 15
Ma type = 1
Result: less than 3009pips
MA timeframe = 5
Ma type = 0
Result: less than 3009pips

DislikedSo have most of you been found the 15M MA timeframe to give you better entry points? I am assuming you are using the matching chart? Eg. MA timeframe set to M15, on the M15 chart?
Thanks in advanceIgnored
DislikedHi eljuli,
can u explain how to read the indis?

DislikedI asked Samurai the same question several posts back, since the manual suggested the matching timeframe but his default was a non-mathing set-up, and he has said non-maching MA timeframe gives better entry point and better results; 15 on M5 charts.
I have experienced a seemingly immature entry when I tested 5 on M5 chart. After changing to 15 on M5 chart the entry point was right on the pull back point. This is for EurUsd... RSIgnored
