VSA is all about the back ground, nyse was trading 1 or 2 candles signals ... doing ok .... but if you use VSA to catch ranges that is where you make the big moves of 60 pips or more on a 5 min chart .
VSA IS NOT just about the candle on the right of the chart ,.. it is also about the 50 or even 100 candles before that
once you understand this you can use VSA to make hundreds of pips in something like the gj in a day ( it moved 1000 pips in ranges yesterday since US open to Asia) . Trading just the right side of the chart you may as well say you are just trading candle patterns and not VSA.
I see so many trying to get into VSA talking about the candle on the right side of the chart only.
using vsa I took a long earlier this week on gbpjpy , when everyone else in that forum were talking 130 , 2 vsa users were going long at 135,85 , now 140 ......but I looked what has happened in the background for the last 6 weeks to take that trade on a 4 hour chart
as for doing an EA for VSA good luck to get it to work ..... a signal on VSA does not mean anything on its own . The EA would have to be really complex as it has to study everything that has happened before the signal including areas of support / resistance , different time frames , what have the pros done last time price was at this level etc etc .. EAs barely work on simple moving average cross overs , let alone something like VSA
