DislikedSalam Alikoum Zamanib,
Sorry to be short but I would prefer to stay focus on this very interested thread you started.
As a nob, let me explain you what is my understanding of your trading method :
1) Draw the HIGHS/LOWS of the PREVIOUS month, week and day
2) If 2 of any of these 3 TF match up/near to each others and at 50%/61.8% fibs retracement of the main swing or at important chartist zones like swing high/low, support/resistance, psych round number (.00 and .50 number) and trend line
check the others conditions :
3) Trades conditions*,...Ignored
Dislikedi am not say that it does not work for you just that some one else is going to come along and see that and lose 268 2 or three times in a roll and never make up the profit back

DislikedHere are my findings:
Period considered: July 22 to September 15, 2008
Same parameters in both: TS 50, 4 levels of martingaling, SL 100
Weekly
42 trades
Start balance 10000
End balance 7966
P/L = -2034 (-20,34%)
Daily
41 trades
Start balance 10000
End balance 16862
P/L = 6862 (68,62%)
In my opinion, using the previous DAILY High/Low will bring much more opportunities than the weekly, especially in a countertrending situation.
Next I'll test December's rise to see if this holds.
zamanib, thanks for the invite but, wouldn't it be...Ignored

DislikedI SEE YOU HAVE LOTS OF TIME ON YOUR HAND
LISTEN YOU CANNOT TOTAL BACK TEST THIS SYSTEM
EXAMPLE LET SAY GBPUSD ON THURSDAY HIGH LOW 12TH FEB FOR TRADE ON FRIDAY 13TH
SO YOUE EA WILL WORK TO AN EXTENTIgnored
DislikedOf course it can't be followed blindly (who would be taking mostly only longs on such a downtrend anyway!).
The purpose behind the backtest (manual and visual, placing each and every trade myself) was to see, UNDER THE WORST POSSIBLE CONDITIONS (this includes the "stops" part) AND EVEN FOLLOWING BLINDLY, which TF was the best to use.
I never mentioned any EA? I don't believe in automated trading AT ALL.
I don't have more or less time on my hands than anyone else... but I sure know how to squeeze and use to its fullest every second out of it...Ignored

DislikedHi Doblece;
This is very interesting, first i was very surprised to see that your results for the weekly were negative, but i only demoed it one week but with excellent results (see my journal).
Second, it is great that you made such a difference using the Daily. Perhaps you would kindly elaborate on how did u go about it. For example, did u apply Zamanib's Weekly sys exactly on the daily, or did u do it differently?
Also, How do u compare both systems (weekly and daily H/L) to the known system of trading the daily/weekly candle breakout...Ignored
