DislikedHi Jairo,
Oh, that is so good to hear about your EA!! How exciting! Your results look GREAT! Looking at your account stats, that's little less than 24 hours worth of data and your closed P/L is looking fantastic, my dear!!
The forward testing is what's going to prove your system viable, and it seems that you've been having success with it thus far.
I know you mentioned that you've back tested it from 1999 to now, but is the attached data a forward test (not a backtest)? Cuz, that's the one that will count.
I had a few scripts I wrote...Ignored
Thank you for your words of encouragements. I feel like I am near victory after almost 12 years fighting restlessly with the markets.
I share your feelings about rescues. I think I never was and never will be good with them.
There was a change in FF that brought back to life all threads that were not closed by moderators. Please let it open. Your gift to the community is precious. I am sure people want to tell you that.
In the backtest from 1999, knowing the weaknesses of my EA, I blocked it from trading during the wildest months (from january to october of each year). It was allowed to enter january only to end pending jobs. So it is not a very significant result. But it brought me to the conclusion that november and december are relatively "safe" months.
Based on this, I am taking a calculated risk now: attached the monster baby to a live account. Let's see what will happen. That regular up slope shows up in all tests made under controlled conditions (erratic or relatively quiet markets). For now, strong trending markets must be avoided.
Please be always with us. I miss you very much in the forums. Don't give up too. You will find your way to big success in the markets, I am sure of it.
Edit: hey, I didn't cut your post! FF is saving some disk space, it looks like...
