DislikedHI everyone
Just wanted to make sure I see the DIBS method correctly, is that an IB formed on the EURUSD hourly chart? and also is that a trigger for a short trade?
many thanks

DislikedHi guys,
Just started playing around (well, working hard ) with ForexTester (if you do decide to buy it, you can get Pro version at a discount via Rob Booker's blog at www.robbooker.com/free - and then search for it) - a great () tool for discretionary back testing. You can playback the market tick by tick, place your live orders on the screen etc etc.
It seems to be an ideal way to test and/or improve one's skills in PA. Highly recommended!
P.S. I still cannot figure out how to close part of the position, so have to resort to opening several identical ones and closing some when needed.
P.P.S. Jaroo, at the first glance, the stop-reverse makes financial sense - i.e. the market "yo-yos" less often then simply "jitters" a bit before making a move. So, even several failed multiple reversals (i.e. when you reversed and was SLed again) seem to be covered by the trades when the reversal does move in your favor. Also, what became immediately obvious was that holding to your trades DOES make a lot of sense (and profit ), but you know that alreadyIgnored

DislikedDoes anyone have an updated version that works in realtime. I have version 1.1 and 1.2 but both require the chart to be refreshed (switched to another timeframe then back to the 1HR) before valid lines and the alarm sound. I missed that excellent trade on Swissy because I was also doing the day job! Price broke through in the first 5 mins of the new 1hr bar and I simply missed it. Damn.Ignored
DislikedHi,
Thanks to Peter for this system. I will trade it to see if its profitable for me.
I have read the previous thread. Can I just ask if there has been any additions to the system rules (i.e. trade high break outs of IB if price above open at 6GMT and trade lows if below) that have proved to improve the profitability of this system? This thread is very very long and increasing everyday, and I really dont have that much time. Hope you understand. Many thanks.Ignored

DislikedThere is a lot of discretion involved in trading this method; Everyone here is in agreement about that. There are loads of additional rules/conditions that are being practiced (way too many to repeat here) and some will work and some won't, depending on what you personally consider comfortable.
The best way is to learn the information Peter gave us, trade it that way, then go through the thread. Sure it's long, but much is redundant and you won't need to read each and every post. This is one thread that is worth your while to read. It's like anything else worth doing. If you don't have time, make time.Ignored
DislikedGoing through the rules of the system the only element of discretion in the rules is when to close the free trade. Are you saying theres more discretion involved? Meaning, if we take every single IB then this system will not be profitable? If I may ask, how do you trade this system? Many thanks.Ignored
