Hi, just wondering what the most up to date MT4 plugin is for this system? And if one exists, is it automated? Thanks
DislikedHi
I check the following
for GBP/USD
Buy: Make first Buy at
(last day high) + 5 pips
with a take profit of +15 --- lot size = .02 (or 2)
Buy:Make second Buy at
(last day high) + 25 pips
with a take profit of +15 --- lot size = .01 (or 1)
(the same for Sell)
------------
in that way you will close the first position and only after it continue another 5 pips (you get a confirmation), you will open a new position
-----------
I make 357.6pips in the last 11 days approx.
------------
please check it, and let me know what do you think and if i need to change add something...
thanksIgnored
DislikedHi all,
thanks for your work on this system. I ran a forward test on an Alpari demo account since Jan 08, see the result below. The first frew trades on this account were some other stuff - not all of the initial DD is caused by Daily95pips. I am using the Alpari fall version with the following settings:
SL Upd. to BE TP1 TP2 TP3
GBPJPY 60 15 40 80 110
EURJPY 30 15 13 30 50
EURUSD 30 15 15 30 50
GBPUSD 30 15 15 30 50
You see that I made some typos when entering the expert parameters... The server did not run all the time, so maybe I was lucky with the trades?
Result in $:
EURUSD 1087
EURJPY -571
GBPJPY -282
GBPUSD 52
Does this look OK...? EURUSD looks particularly good, is this just luck?

The E/U does perform very well with this method. I backtested a system where I entered at 5 pips above/below for the E/U, G/U and entered at 11% ATR(14) above/below for G/J, E/J. I calculated and entered my trades at midnight eastern. After manually backtesting 2 years of this strategy I had banked 45,000 pips. I went live with this strategy on November 1, 2007 and after two months had profited 3600 pips. I switched to a different broker in January and have yet to be able to reproduce that profit (break even for the year). I plan to continue to trade the E/U as a supplement to my other trading strategies.Ignored
DislikedHi
do you mean that you
SL Upd. to BE 15 pips ?
i.e. you use a 15 pips SL ?Ignored
DislikedHi
what do you mean with
11% ATR(14) above/below for G/J, E/J.
and which SL do you use for E/U, G/U ?
Can you send your report?
thanksIgnored
DislikedMy entry for the G/J, E/J was not 5 pips off hi/lo but rather 11% ATR(14) off hi/lo.

DislikedDo you mean ATR of 14 1h bars? This would be just looking one day back. Or do you use 14 days? This might be more stable.
Anyway the question is how the parameters could be adjusted depending on market conditions. ATR certainly seems to be a good idea to cope with different volatilities. Another possibility would be to periodically optimize the parameters for optimum result (using a robust measure). For example you could run an optimization each weekend, finding optimal settings based on the data for the last four weeks and use this setting for the next week.
Ideally we would also know when to apply our system... it works best on a trending market, I think. If there is little movement within a small range, we lose mostly.Ignored
DislikedBTW, not able to open the Excel File. Can you please reattach it.
Thanks !Ignored
DislikedThe formatting of this table got lost... GBPJPY: 60 SL, update SL to break even at 15 (these are all parameters you enter in the EA).Ignored
Dislikedthanks

You get these result, using a pip value of US$1 ?
