Amazing site, and thank you to all the hard working folks such as Maxey.
Q:
What do you consider a spike?
I consider a 20 pip move with one tick a spike, but 20 pip move with 2 or , 3 or more or ticks is not a spike; am I right?
How can you straddle a one tick 20 pip move if your
buy entry stop is -+5 or -+10 pips ?
if you straddle 5 pips, and if the next price (spike is) +-10 or 20, your entry price is not filled since there was no quote for that price.
Can you explain what you mean by spike (if it is 1 tick 20 pip or several ticks)?
During news if the next tick is 20 pips, how can you enter with 5 or even 10 pip straddle since there was no such a price ?
Or are you saying any price should follow steps tick at a time like a ladder and you just hop on the ladder up or down?
I guess price goes 5 pip at a time ? no jump in price.
Again, thank you.
