DislikedHoward,
The indicator doesn't seem to work. I wish it did.
Here is a chart of CAD.
I have labeled as 1, 2 and 3, the three TD lines that I saw.
The indicator doesn't mark these. The green and red lines drawn by the indicator are correct, but it leaves others out.Ignored
DislikedYes, that is correct; 1,2 and 3 are older trend lines; at some stage these lines have been drawn by the indicator but as the chart progresses the indicator plots the latest of the TD lines.Ignored
DislikedI see. Then it probably does work.
I'll watch it in real time. If it works like it's supposed to, that will be great.
Thanks again
EDIT:
It just occured to me how dumb I was. If the indicator didn't replace the old lines with the latest ones, there would be lines all over the chart. I wasn't thinking:-)Ignored
Dislikedhoward, from this chart, the indicator looks like it is plotting TD2 lines and i belief billbliss is using TD1 lines (please correct me if im wrong). with the TD2 lines, there has to be at least 2 candles on each side of the focal candle, but with TD1 lines, it is at least 1 candle on each side of the focal candle. so all TD2 lines are TD1 lines but not vice versa. hopes this makes sense.Ignored
DislikedWhen you finish yours, share with us. It might be better than this one.Ignored
DislikedHi Billbss,
Firstly I want to say I hope that your mother recovers well and quickly from her fall.
As regards you trading concept, I like the sound of it. There are several threads currently extolling the virtues of TD trendlines, (must be the flavour of the month, LOL) and as TL's have always proved a difficult concept for me I am trying to avail myself with as much knowledge as possible as I think they could be used to enhance many trading strategies.
While I am observing you ideas, I initially have a quick question about trading DeMark lines in real time. Up to now I have only looked at them on a short term timeframe, and as such only considered them valid when a bar closed on a break of the TL. As there could be significant movement during a 30 min bar, do you enter on a 'real-time' break or wait for the close. There have been comments about a 2 pip break, but this seems potentially objective from my point of view. I know you have mentioned that you do not examine the qualifiers so I would appreciate it if you could elaborate on this.
One key area I like about this is the hours of operation you have defined. 8 am to 5 pm GMT is the normal working day for me in London, so to be able to do that, oh joy!!!
Good trading,
G-ManIgnored
DislikedHi Bill,
Can you confirm that you use the TD1 qualification only.
Thanks,

DislikedHi Bill,
On the Usd/Cad I see 1 Win & 1 Loss for todays trades. I've attached a chart showing what I saw as possible trades today. Do correct me if I'm wrong! I'm assuming you start looking for trades as of 08:00 GMT or 2:00 A.M. our time {CST}, opening of London. The difference could be data feed from the Broker Platform you're using. The chart I'm posting is IBFX.
Bill, give your Mom a big hug for me and tell her a trading buddy of yours wishes her a speedy recovery from her fall. Wish I could hug my Mom but I lost her in 2005. So important to show Love with the time we have on this earth! Take Care....PhilIgnored
