DislikedWhy should one not use high leverage of 500:1 or 400:1? Isn't it better so one can open more lots to trade especially when one is sure there is a high percentage that the trade is going to go their way?
Also, can you guys tell us what broker you use that are trustworthy? We won't accuse you of recommending your broker. We'll check it up ourselves. If something bad happens, we won't blame you guys.
If Pipboy says he's a pro, let it be. We all have a standard what is a pro or newbie especially in forex where there is no professionally regulated agency like those of engineers, doctors, athletes, etc.Ignored
Dislikedthis is good
but their reviews r bad http://www.forexbastards.com/public/...w.forexgen.com
have u ever try them?Ignored
DislikedForexGen is a big scam. You will lose all your money either by trading with them or they will cancel all your profits and block your withdrawal requests. Customer service is attrocious, infact there is none.Ignored
Dislikedmy strategy want good margin to be avialable to cover the open trades (lets say i want it big margin)
for example if i want to open 1 lot on USD/JPY
if the leverage is 100:1 ( margin needed = 1000$)
if the leverage is 200:1 ( margin needed = 500$)
if the leverage is 400:1 ( margin needed = 250$)
if the leverage is 500:1 ( margin needed = 200$)
i use hedge technique to make the losing trades winning ones
time is important in all markets , so u use the time against the losing trades
when my strategy gives me a buy signal> i close the sell position (but before that it must be (+), or i close it if it were (-) it depends on the market and the TA signals, the important thing is how to avoid the stop loss hunters )
i remeber when i was new to forex , i used stop loss (30pips)
stop hunters get the 30 pip , then the price reverse to move on the direction i wanted , that happend alot when i trade GBP/USD
hedge techniques r not easy , it also needs alot margin
thats why i wanted high leverage
when i said >i'm pro in what i'm doing
this may tease others who feel bad so they become offensive. especially if they are losing money !
thanks QwertIgnored
Dislikedit's hard to find good broker with high leverage
anyway , i heard that NorthFinance is good , i'll open an account with them and see
thanks bravester for the adviseIgnored
DislikedPipBoy, don't be an id*ot. No decent brokers offer anything above 100:1. As a matter of fact, check out currenex providers. Most of them have 50:1. Because forex is damn unpredictable only a fool would use 1:500, a 25 pip spike would wipe out your account. And those can happen for no apparent reason from time to time. Good brokers don't want to go bust, hence they don't allow extreme leverage.

Dislikedbravester,
20k from ForexGen hit my bank account today.
I had to wait about 10 days for it, and I was in constant communication
with their support staff who were polite and helpful.
They certainly did not scam me.

Dislikedhttp://www.cmsfx.com/ offers pretty high leverage.
Now, I want to say something for those who are bashing Pipboy for this question. 400:1 leverage is only bad if you use it incorrectly. I could see someone wanting to take some high risks at the chance of a huge return. There is nothing wrong with that. I spend 100's of dollars at the casino each month with less of a chance of winning than you have betting a few hundred at forex. In fact, I should probably stop playing at the casino and just bet it on a 400:1 forex account. Despite whatever the leverage is, you can still use money management, and the odds sure beat the casino.Ignored
