DislikedI have written nothing disrespectful about you so I have no idea why your mood towards me swings so much. If you are going to post a monthly chart but only use a few months on it, I find that a bit pointless. You might as well use the weekly or daily and get more information. I occasionally use my monthly charts to go back in history when nothing else is available (such as exceeding recent highs/lows). If it takes me back to 1992 or 1972, then so be it. In my books, price then is still relevant today! I use it for support and resistance as this still holds (believe it or not)!Ignored
DislikedWould you believe that I'm still holding an open long position since June at open price 250.00 ?
This was the first time I entered GBPJPY looking at it as a carry trade opportunity. Even though it is a very small position just 0.05 lot to test the waters. I thought it can't hurt me. It can't fall 10 000 pips it's a carry trade pair! (this is my max loss tolerance for this position). But now I'm starting to believe I was wrong...
I think when I opened the position I caused "the butterfly effect" and caused the GBPJPY to fall like a rock.
Now I have dilemma shall I still hold this position to collect the interest and wait for the pair to recover (if ever) or quit and take the loss as this it the end of carry trading?
Denial to lose... is the biggest mental obstacle in trading I think.

DislikedI thought your intentions to offer your charts for review were good....
offered because you respect his opinion... and so do I.
I thought Zoran's response was flippant by giving you curt answers
and condescending by finally following with homework assignments
and bonus points.

DislikedI believe that the carry trade will always go on, it just might go on at a lower level for the next few years. How low? I don't kow but it could fall another few 1000 pips. Maybe it even goes as low as 165.00.
We'll find out soon enough.

Dislikedok yes i am relatively new to forex, but here's my view of the whole thing at this time.
would i stop trading when i've been making money no way, but i will probably be out for a month or 2 while i get set up again. money makes money, but only if you put it to work. the people behind carry trades will still want to make money and now they are used to the profit from the carries they will be back - i think oct/nov will be a great time.
just my viewIgnored
