Dislikedthere is something wrong with the EFX system, if you didn't understand it thus far it's your problem.

DislikedJust saw this part of your post, and I replied to you actually before they did on this issue. I don't consider it a problem, especially after Justin explained how they handle the 5 out of a million or whatever times this comes up. It's hardly a reason not to use stop + TTO or limit + TTO orders. Trust me, I've run into much more considerable problems over the years on platforms than having to worry about this complex string of events. As I said in my initial reply to you, I HAVE thought about this in the past, but it hasn't come up in all of my trading, and when it does, I assume that EFX will do what they can do. So I don't consider it as "something wrong with the EFX system." I consider it as a natural issue of dealing on an ECN instead of a desk, where a desk is always the other side of your trade, so if they bust one side, the other has to be busted by definition. Obviously, that's great in the case that you described, but I wouldn't put my money with one of those platforms if you put a gun to my head.Ignored
Disliked"The connection of moderators-brokers is much stronger than I ever thought...."
Well normally I would just turn the other cheek here, but it seems I have turned all four now. I would like to set the record straight. I am a volunteer here at FF as are all the moderators. WE DO NOT get compensated in any way. We do this because we enjoy giving back to the FF community.
I personally do not have an account with any broker listed on FF. So there is no way I would want to favor one over another.
It just really gets a bit old to hear this kind of talk, when one's intentions and efforts are always with the community in mind...
Oh well, I suppose that is to be expected.Ignored
DislikedHey Scott-
Is that a nice way of saying that we forex traders as a whole are the whiniest, cheapest, expect-everything-for-free, largely-uneducated-about-the-instrument-that-we-love-to-trade group out there? Because I would agree with that statement. LOL.
Keep up the good work.Ignored

DislikedOh my. This thread has turned pretty hostile
I would hope that there's some sense of respect and dignity that we can all converse in a way that's not insulting nor demeaning to each other. We gain respect by the way we handle/conduct ourselves and communicate with others, so I hope we can be a little less attacking and try to post our messages/responses more civilly without a lot of sarcasm that can be quite hurtful.
Anyway, I am glad you are resolved with your issue, gidnoa.Ignored
DislikedLOL, well that's just my opinion on how I read some of the posts here, so if you don't see that any of the posts (some of them yours, my dear, lol ) were hostile and sarcastic, then I guess it was just me who read them that way, lol
P.S. I hadn't read Justin's post prior to that previous post, as I was composing mine while he must have posted his, so my post wasn't in regards to Justin, lol. I think he handles himself pretty respectfully and with dignity (at least with the posts I've read of his, so far ).Ignored
DislikedJust curious, where is this thread hostile? Except for the fact that it seems like the conversation was over, and maybe gidnoa took a shot at the Mods a little, seems like a good conversation to me. He just wants to make sure that people understand the implications of getting a bad execution on the entry piece of the trade and what that means for your + side of the trade, and Justin is giving him a solid response. There's even some great one-liners in here. I don't see how this thread is hostile.Ignored
DislikedWell, I've helped out at a web hosting forum for many years (lol, I have 13,000+ posts there , so I'd say that I have a lot of experience with helping in handling issues ) and I try to be rational, reasonable and fair in my judgements and comments to both sides of the argument (but we also joke a lot there and have a lot of fun, as well, so our sarcasm is more due to good humor and wit amongst friends, lol).
I've seen people post there after having received an unfavorable answer from tech support and sometimes we find that a newbie techie has given the customer a wrong answer, thus we do help to resolve the issue if this is the case and usually a higher up Admin will post to confirm that they were given a wrong answer by tech support.
I chose not to become a Mod there when approached, because I would sort of be obligated to be biased in a way, because the forum belongs to the web host company, unlike here where FF isn't affiliated with any particular broker but mainly serves as a means for Forex Traders/Brokers to gather and share/converse/teach/learn/lol, even gripe/etc.
Without forums, many people wouldn't get issues resolved in cases where the techie was wrong and it is frustrating for a customer to be told something is their fault, when in fact, it wasn't. The reverse is also true, where a customer blames the host for their server being down and after some of us test out the access to their site, we can access it with no problems thus we then help them figure out what the problem with their connection might be (usually it's a caching of an old IP address after they've switched servers, or a blocked connecting hub along their Internet connection path or whatnot).
I feel forums are very good in that way, so that people have another means to get their issues double-checked and resolved, as well as a learning/sharing tool for those needing help with just overall development skills, etc.
Whether at my web hosting forums or here at FF, the same hold true for both. Even though you could have handled your issue with EFX, I wouldn't have known then about the busted trade and TTO issue myself, so your sharing it was an asset to me.
It was because of these forums that I chose EFX/MBT to be my Broker and learned alot about ECNs vs dealing desks, etc. If it wasn't for people sharing their experiences (good and bad) many people would be left without any clue of what they are getting into.
Because everyone has their own viewpoints on things, each of us gathers the info presented and make our own decisions based on what seems the most reasonable and sound.
Anyway, I did not see your post as unreasonable and like I said, I gained some value and knowledge from the whole busted trade and TTO issue myself, lol.
I hope we can all contribute productively to each other, as well as just have some good fun sometimes, too (hopefully there's people here with great sense-of-humors, lol)!
Having a friendly and inviting forum community always generates a lot of wonderful energy and vitality, which will then, hopefully, transpose to our trading success!
Good luck to you and hope to bump into you again on the forumsIgnored
