DislikedThis is right out of Jenkins Daytrading for 50 years book - although anyone using Gann Boxes over the years might have stumbled on this simply by repeating the boxes etc but you'll get the drift This can at times (not all the time) tell you WHY RETRACEMENT levels failed to hold price {image} {image} {image} {image} {image} {image} {image}Ignored
Disliked{quote} Are you getting the GANN tools as part of the standard Sharepad subscription? Do you know if Sharescope also has the GANN tools?Ignored
Disliked{quote} Hi Yes, but they are VERY basic - Its just that you can draw Gann Box's nice and easy in it - other than that, I DON'T use sharepad/scope for Gann work, especially the time side But if all you want is to be able to draw gann boxes like shown then it is part of the basic package - you can always EXPORT price data out to other (CSV file) to other software as I do when looking at cycles, time etc You can set alarms on the extend lines too - so when they are hit during the day (will be 15 min delayed data for basic package) you're alertedIgnored
DislikedA word to those to whom never tried Jenkins methods. If one would learn to spot the Impulse wave, and learn to draw the Angles, you very easily are going to learn from there how to enter and exit the trade, that in itself is 85% of the work.....Easy Peasy... DM I encourage you to read the Jenkins books: {image}{image}{image}{image}{image}{image}{image} A good place to start would be the Secret Science of the Stock Market, The Secret Angle and Squaring the Range in that order but by all mean read all of them.Ignored
Disliked{quote} This is incredible! I cann't believe my eyes. Once I found the "right" scale, I see it happens almost everywhere in my chart, and it's very precise I'm a newbie to this trading method. I just started reading the recommended books since last week. Cann't wait to learn more from this amazing thread. Thank you {image} {image}Ignored
DislikedMr Jenkins is a man and it is difficult to find men today. I say this with a clear conscience, because I have studied his books which are very simple. It all boils down to a few concepts...Ignored
DislikedI know a lot of traders who are members of FF use mt4 charts. I have found many of his methods can be incorporated quite well, but there is some work to do. And you will need a couple of scripts, a circle script and the Jenkins Secret Angle script. I will post them as soon as I’m back in my office. You will also need a protractor kit for angle drawing on your charts and a good calculator for square root calculations and calculating ratios. This is a wonderful way to trade, precision pinpoint entries whether your a swing or a scalp trader, Jenkins...Ignored
DislikedPlace these in your script file...not indicator file...you will need them.. {file} {file}Ignored
Disliked{quote} I have read all of Jenkins books, and I listen to his newsletters which is very accurate regarding his weekly prediction.Ignored
DislikedI've spent some time recently reading through and trying to digest some Jenkins concepts and the idea of arc 'nodes', dragging a circle from a swing to a prior swing to project a potential turning point forwards, is interesting. I haven't seen it mentioned in the thread yet though from a quick search. Has anybody tried it out and found any decent accuracy with it? He writes about it in Squaring the Range and then totally offhandedly throws it into the 'options' chapter of 50 years at the end and mentions its worth more than the book! I do most of...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Thanks for the response, I know this is a bit of a dead thread. I've found some interesting results but as you say, it's hard to be certain although I've noticed some interesting confluences around key levels. I know that MSJ talks a lot about those previous books essentially being masking for the astrology concepts so I was wondering about whether the different ratios were also leading towards some kind of relationship in that sense as each instrument seems to have its own time/price ratio that works best but I also don't want to get lost...Ignored
DislikedYeah a couple of confluent circumstances I've found handy are recent htf snr levels can be very influential around the time of an arc, and the small prior swing to a big move often gives a turn at it's arc square out. I've also been playing with them on lower time frames (5-15min) and they're certainly not always reliable and as you said I bet MSJ has a bit more knowledge tucked away, but they've caught my attention enough to make me curious as a possible confluence. Thanks for the additional info - I have read a bit of his recent trilogy but it...Ignored
