I'm seeing these "end of the yen carry trade" doom articles for several years and still making s#$%loads shorting the yen against almost anything else ever since.
I have no doubt it will unwind (perhaps even sometime soon) and it will be violent too, nothing like the occasional 1000-2000 pips we've seen in the past few years. That will be the time I'll be buying yens. But it might not happen for months or years, so until then I'm long GBPJPY and what I've learned trading this beast, is that it almost always runs further up than anyone expects so I'm enjoying the ride so far...
