Hello all,
I was wondering if it's possible for the S/L set on volatile pairs as such yen crosses (or any other pair for that matter) not to get triggered when there's a strong upward or downward move and the price jumps several pips at a time? I've been trading live for 1.5 moths and have experienced my first requote today when manually exiting a transaction so the thought sprang to my mind... What if I had a S/L set and wasn't at the computer when the requote confirmation request popped up on the screen?
If it does happen how can we deal with that? Call the broker afterwards? Will they return the money if the price goes a long way in the wrong direction?
I know there's the "enable maximum deviation from quoted price" option when placing orders manually but does it work also for S/L and T/P or just for the entry price? And what if one wants to place a pending order? The option's not available there...
Anyway I hope it doesn't happen or there's a good way around this. Coming back home one day only to find out that my account was wiped out by the carry trade unwinding despite me trying to protect it would be a total disaster...
Thanks for the answer
