Dislikedas far as all the math, I doubt any applied math matters honestly ....Ignored
Same goes overly calculating DDs . Just trade good, whats the issue? If you are uncertain test your methods at least 900 days back in time with manual trading. Why even bother trying to game the prop firm systems, if ones own system isnt up to par. Then one just can hope the prop firms never go away right and using hit and run.
The market doesnt care about any math formulas whatever. Apart from calculating some minor risk management. Markets are is very fluid dynamic. I would even say to calculate DD too closely to left and right would mess things up too since each day requires a new style and how far to push the personal DD limits for maximum profit. But sure that is always risky as semi newbie how to determine those days I noticed.
You can get all caught up with numbers in your head. But in end of day. Its about being consistent, patient, time it properly. Not trading like wild west. No need to buy 20 accounts from what Im seeing here.
I just analyzed 2020 each day manual trading. Doing it properly. DD the prop firm style with time limit only get hit once or twice a month if not paying attention using Eval lots even not even funded simulation lot sizes which never would have hit the DDs x/2, this using a basic trading style since I had to skip through 2020 each day quickly, Few hours trading only a day during the 2020 simulation.
To whoever got ego here and think they are great at trading. If you cannot humble yourself, you wont improve much. Theres no way. Congrats if you are profitable and got a gigantic ego. I have no clue at all how you made it or will in long run from what Ive seen how markets work so far and dynamics. Any stuck trading pattern and ego, will get crushed eventually.
Instead of buying 100s accounts pumping and dumping hoping trading it wild I would suggest to trade more carefully and spend that time trading in history analyze why u need 100s of accounts with discounts to get profitable with prop firms. Some justify this by saying, but oh I wont use that method on my personal account. Then why do it and take that risk? Since if you are consistent and careful prop firms are just fine without wild west trading as long u keep within the trailing DD or fixed DD simple. It just takes a lot of analysis and dedication I notice for just one instrument.
But each to their own of course.
Still practising on writing novels here.
