One of the things he mentioned that few pay attention to anymore because of the 24 hour electronic trading is the RTH v ETH. Regular trading hours vs "electronic" trading hours or what the CME calls Globex.
When the markets were not as "manipulated" there was no 24/5 trading. It was all limited to the US day time. I dabbled in the futures in the 1990s, mostly live cattle vs feeder cattle spreads. You had to know all the correct jargon to put on trades when you called the broker. And yes the fills were full of "slippage".
When trading instruments that are mainly based on US futures it would be wise to take into account this info of RTH v ETH.
