Disliked{quote} There's a good book that talks about that - Trading In The Zone I think its called? It had these idea that when we trade a system we view the market objectively thus can make better decisions. To deviate from a system creates these mental blocks so we cannot view the market as accurately, thus our accounts suffer.Ignored

Disliked{quote} Elysion, I can only talk about what had worked for me to make me a disciplined trader. 1) Choose your signature setup - one for now (with the best win/loss ratio) and sit on your hands (literally not figuratively) until the setup shows up to enter/exit the trade. 2) Write down on the index card what are you going to do, and follow it to the letter. 3) Choose 2-3 trading blocks for 2-3 hours so you sharpen your focus. 4) Do this for the next 20 trades, and then assess the progress. Just give it a try. Good luck.Ignored

Disliked{quote} Trading Gold is really a headache one. Tried to read the gold chart the same way i read currency, none of my trade been a successful one, even tho i reduced my lot size (demo account) to fit 1% within 70pips.. Each one my trades keep failing, stopped out first then move as expected. In Currency, i think a person can have a slight margin error at his levels of entry (talking about 30mins tf and around 5-6 pips) but for gold that margin of error on 30mins tf easily goes up to 90pipsIgnored

Disliked{quote} I usually place at least 20 pips SL for gold trading even when I entered at tops to avoid the sudden spike moves. It has happened various times in LTF where a single 1 min candle spikes and wipe out stops only to reverse immediately within seconds.Ignored
