DislikedHello, I tried trading the CPI today and got slipped on the entry for about 62(+18) pips. (had entry 180 points away) I banked around 24 pips on the trade but I still feel it was quite underwhelming in regards to how big the move was. I have tried trading news manually where I would make a market order in both directions and could bank around 400-500 pips on a move like this. Perhaps it is better to make a market order 2 seconds before instead of stop orders? Also if you look at the time, I was entered in the market at 15:30:04 instead of 15:30:01...Ignored
DislikedHi Alan, I noticed something about your automatic demo version that I believe affects being able to enter at the right time. Your ea creates the first pending order long before the time and then changes the prices many times to get closer to the final price. Many brokers limit lines in log files on demo and live accounts to complicate our life. Your ea often generates so many logs that I believe can be limited by entering a little later or by changing prices less times. So if you use market orders to get into the trade and stop orders to exit or stop orders to get into the trade and market orders to exit won't make a huge difference in the long run. It really depends on the broker. Disliked{quote} I only set SecBPO to 20 so that trades would open on some very slow brokers. Sure, if your broker is fast, then reduce the time to 5 to 10 seconds or so. You need to experiment a bit to get the settings which work best for you.Ignored
