DislikedSorry, I'm confused. I believe demo servers can not reproduce Market Executions, Your SL, TP and pending orders on a demo account will always be filled at your price. How did you calculate the slippage? I can only see some random pending orders opening and closing probably from an EA, I don't see the commission column either on the terminal which could explain the $5 you are missing. I like your idea of discussing the executions.Ignored

DislikedIs a very good habit to test brokers and strategies, keep doing it. I was just curious about the thought process behind your testing as I believe you didn't take into account your unrealized P/L vs Net Amount, you can not have slippage in demo accounts and you will also have slippage with your TP. We all learning every day, don't worry, just don't blow your money trying to find the slippage.Ignored
DislikedI think they have better ways much more subtle to increase their revenue, slippage never looks good for the broker, don't give me wrong, they are certainly not saints and they will do mistakes too but this mantra of people trying to justify their losses on the broker is becoming a joke sometimes., I'm not saying this for you, as I genuinely think you were trying to show your findings however they were wrong and I don't think you completely understand what slippage is yet, which is absolutely fine as we all have been there and this forum is to learn...Ignored
DislikedEssentially slippage is the deviation your order gets filled vs your expected price, slippage does not have a negative connotation per se as you can also have a positive slippage. A demo order does not need to be filled by a counterparty, all your orders will be filled at your price without slippage, you said: 'I've traded both live and demo and the issue I'm discussing is actually the same on both demo and live so I'm just using demo to illustrate." This is why I was confused as I don't know how you can illustrate slippage with a demo account....Ignored
DislikedBut you are assuming your trading utility sends all the orders to the broker at the same time, 2 seconds is a lot of time. Perhaps your testing should be more focused on your Metatrader journal logs and you will see that your 50 100 or whatever orders you are trying to close are not sent to the server at the same time and consequently as they are market orders they will be closed at the price available, Also I wouldn't bother to test the processing time of a free demo account. Then you compare the time your utility took to send the order to the...Ignored
