Hey everyone. I have a strange problem I need some help with. I've been learning this program for awhile and have often made mistakes, so my programs usually have problems that are my fault. To find these problems i usually start a new document and cut and past lines or sections until I isolate the issue, but that led me to the current problem. One of the theories i was working on wouldn't open a short position, but even after I went through my process I couldn't find a problem. So I opened an older version of the same program that COULD open short positions and started copying and pasting line from that program and replacing line from my non-working program. After changing a line I would run it again to see if that was the problem. I ended up changing each line this way to no avail.
Of course I assumed it was a user error, so I started cutting and pasting larger chunks, although I still couldn't solve the problem. In the end, I copied the entire (working) program and replaced the entire (non-working) program. Believe it or not, the non-working file name STILL doesn't work, while the working filename does work! Just to clarify, I have to copies of the exact same lines of code under two different file names; one that works (opens short positions in strategy builder) and one that does not. Can anyone figure out what is going on here?
By the way, if anything I have defined here needs clarification, just ask. Thanks for your time!
