I am confused as to why MT4 opens the charts in a different order to what I had them in.
If anyone can help that would be greatly appreciated.

Disliked{quote} The platform saves the chart windows based on the order of the tabs at the bottom of the screen and then the tile button tiles them based on the order of the tabs. If you want a specific order then you need to rearrange the tabs and use the auto-tile button. This will ensure that you get the same desired order when you relaunch the platform.Ignored
DislikedMake sure you save the profile, I personally overwrite Default.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Thank you for this script. I really appreciate it, but I am looking for a way to avoid using it all the timeIgnored
DislikedIt's as easy as this: 1) arrange the order/sequence of your charts 2) click on every tab from left to right 3) reload the profile (this profile, not another) If you have arranged your tabs and switch to another profile, your sequence will not be saved! You have to reload the profile your are working with. The sequence is stored in the "order.wnd" in the MT4-profile folder. Alternatively you can write this file with notepad. MT4 saves the profile and the accordingly order of the charts with reload of the profile; that means if you want to "hack"...Ignored
Disliked{quote} He is right guys, it's all there, I didn't rearrange anything, but I'm sure that would work, I have seen this information somewhere before Thanks for sharing, O.P. should not have any problems now! {image}Ignored
DislikedAfter all your charts are opened, run this script if only you want them in alphabetical order. {file}Ignored
Disliked{quote} You haven't said yet, but let's assume you want to use the 28 pairs and have them in alphabetically order Here is what I suggest, the Market Watch should look like the picture below. Starting from Default Profile, save that as the new Profile you want, eg. Day Trade Now close all charts except 1 in this new profile, change it to the AUDCAD by dragging that to the chart Now on this chart, apply the Template you want to use Again, assuming you want the same Template on all charts, make any changes you want, save it as your Day Trade Template...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Erebus - Which 28 pairs are you using? I have quite a bit more than that, maybe 40 or so. I am pretty much brand new to all this. Thanks in advance!Ignored
