Would the SL on both positions be at 100 from entry or just the second position?
Interesting stuff....

Quoting HendrickDislikedJust a quick recap of the development of the next version of <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1lace w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">Phoenix</st1:City></st1lace>. <st1:City w:st="on"><st1lace w:st="on">Phoenix</st1lace></st1:City> 5 has some nice additions. One of them is opening a second trade (in the same direction) when the first trade is a certain amount of pips in profit. The first trade is using a low TP and a much lower SL than a TP of 42 and a SL of 84. Consider this first trade as a scout that is exploring the market. If the market is not right for <st1:City w:st="on"><st1lace w:st="on">Phoenix</st1lace></st1:City> the first trade will end in a loss. This loss is however limited due to a low SL. But when the scout is in profit the second trade (with a higher TP and SL) will open with a fair chance of becoming a profitable trade (and so is your first trade).<?xml:namespace prefix = o /><o></o>
<o></o>
Other additions are:<o></o>
<o></o>
- closing trades after a certain amount of hours (seems to work for a couple of pairs).<o></o>
- moving your SL to breakeven when your trade is in profit.<o></o>
<o></o>
... And so on and so on.<o></o>
<o></o>
I think <st1:City w:st="on"><st1lace w:st="on">Phoenix</st1lace></st1:City> will be more profitable in the long run. But one thing: I need your support!! <o></o>
<o></o>
And now a very small critical remark:<o></o>
<o></o>
When the new <st1:City w:st="on"><st1lace w:st="on">Phoenix</st1lace></st1:City> thread just started there were a couple of visitors that were very enthusiastic. I haven't seen these visitors lately. And that’s not surprising at all, because they are "the takers": People that are willing to try a new EA for a week and hops to another EA when the first one isn’t profitable within the first couple of days. Well, goodbye to them, we don't need them! And that's why my love and my gratitude goes to the regular visitors of this thread. They understand that developing a good Expert Advisor takes a lot of time. I hope you guys will continue your support for the coming time!<o></o>
<o></o>
And let be honest, in the Contest <st1:City w:st="on"><st1lace w:st="on">Phoenix</st1lace></st1:City> is still occupying the fourth place out of 260 EA's! So it has some potential. And together we will develop <st1:City w:st="on"><st1lace w:st="on">Phoenix</st1lace></st1:City> further into a very good EA. Let's go for it!!!<o></o>Ignored
Quoting VinceTheBeastDislikedHi Harry!
Been on a trip so haven’t had time to post for a while. Please find attached the relationship between time of an open trade and Profit/Loss which I find on my Neuimex and North Finance accounts. Will do my FXDD account as soon as my brain is back on GMT +1 too ;-)
Too premature to draw any conclusions I guess but will keep updating in the future.Ignored

Quoting accreteDislikedGreetings Harry and gang. Support? I've been following and forward testing since the beginning and though it may seem like i'm a silent observer, it is sometimes my style not to post if there is nothing helpful to report on my end. I've been testing the Phoenix on usd pairs mainly and am basicaly at breakeven. Reading the above from Palmer has promted me to begin a new account with just JPY related pairs in today's pre-market setup.
I checked in over at the contest as i do each Weekend awaiting the results. Good trading.
Cheers,
ThomIgnored
Quoting VinceTheBeastDislikedDid notice this too.. <?xml:namespace prefix = o /><o></o>
Can imagine it must be rather frustrating for you to see people be interested up to the point were they have been explained how to setup the EA and than 'bugger off'...
Maybe I shouldn’t say anything myself... ;-) because haven't been able to post last week.. (trip to the <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 /><st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1lace w:st="on">US</st1lace></st1:country-region>). But you can count on my support (how ever limited/insignificant my input will be… at least I'll do my best).<o></o>
Will post the rest of my findings (see post 329) of my FXDD account as promised later this evening! Will include the Detailed Statements of the past week soon too.
Keep up your great work Harry, don’t let some people spoil it for you!<o></o>Ignored
Quoting PalmerDislikedHarry:
When P5 comes out, should we abandon P4? I'm going to continue to run P4 for a while either way and still track how the nonUSD pairs will perfrom. My FXDD demo account may expire within the next few weeks so there may be a burp in the results but I'll fill in those blanks the best I can.
Does anyone know of a longer term MT/broker? FXDD's (even for live clinets) is only 90 days....Ignored
