Short Term Measured Move Method
I'll be looking for short term measured moves (MM) in the majors. (and I'm not even a fan of alliteration...)
This means that I will ignore a lot of price action (PA) but also be including some technical analysis (TA) within this method.
No indicators, but I keep a 20ema on the charts.
I may add to this initial post to add some info on what I'm attempting here.
I will be looking for Leg one. (leg1) This is a move that is showing some directional power in size and is more significant than prior PA.
Next I will seek a pullback (PB) depending on the slope of leg1, this PB is the MM flag which can take many forms. The MM flag can also just fade away and devolve into junk PA.
One of the challenges is to determine if leg1 is the end or the start or continuation of prior PA.
I will seek an entry somewhere in the MM flag with the goal of attempting to capture the chart area covered by a successful MM meaning, a gain from a potential leg2.
I will also consider the obvious correlations between the majors. For example, if there is a strong move up in EU, I would not consider a long in UJ unless EU is extended into potential resistance, or if the UJ move is more convincing and if UC is trending down, etc.
I'll be showing ideas that I may trade, I'm not suggesting you trade this way, trade at your own risk, many of my entries I will kill or be stopped out of for a loss.
I know this works, as do many other methods, I'm sure. I'm also sure now that I can't successfully trade any method because I'm addicted to gambling and any trading triggers the addiction and I can't function in trading or in life, so I'm signing off. Best trading to those of you who can handle it, but if you can't because of addiction, I can't beat it, find out if you can before you go as far down as I did.
