what a crazy day. it's filled with missteps, good and bad trading all mixed into one
Before i break down the day, i'd like to share my trade tags
R,T,B,BT,G,F, observation, error, tilt.
R,T,B,BT,G,F are my different types of setups
observation is basically a trade that resulted in new idea or rule update/change for existing setups
error-error is execution error or misreading the setup
tilt-anything done that's outside of the existing setups
let's break it down
1. initial trade was a legit loss. It actually made me realize i shouldn't be shorting when price breaks yesterday high/low blindly. So i categorize it as observation
2. i jumped long the second trade cause i was excited to see that huge upside move. Then wehn it just stalled there, i bailed out. you can kind of categorize it as disciplined tilt since i was able to just close out the loss immediately
3. error- should've been a trend
4.error-this is actually per setup, but since i fucked up on the previous entry, this is considered late entry-managed to make some profit out of it
5.trend setup that occurred in eu session that i was somehow managed to spot. So i decided to play with. built up my positions and it basically did NOTHING but range all fucking session, got a bit out of it before US session starts
6. trend setup that would've worked if it wasn't for the damn ISM news..so this is legit loss
7. this is a legit fade setup, but it's one of those setups where if i'm not careful, i would be getting a bad avg price, which happened here. price was beyond yesterday's high and i was convinced somehow that level will hold, so i put bigger sizes around that level. Well it tanked all the way to the days' open before finally reversing back. this is one of the areas i definitely still working on.
here's the journal stats. i'm listing just the trades for now. at end of month, i'll do the whole full stats (with win/loss %, avg win/loss etc) so the data would be more meaningful
Anyway, another day, another dollar as they say.
moving on, with bit more experience.
