DislikedHey Tekkies, here is a example where i probably would have entered to late again (following a M15 Cross Alert) I am getting the TDI Cross Alert as Price already moved 30 Pips up. How do you trade M15 with entering perfectly on time at such setups without having to watch Price tick by tick. I think its not possible. By the way these TDI Cross Alerts for me are too late for all other TFs as well. With the only difference you might have some more room for your take profit targets on H4 or Daily so you have a little more time to make your decision if...Ignored
The couple of times I come here each week and visit this thread I can see you're trying real hard to make all this work so good on you and Tekkies is in the same boat. It also looks like you're both prepared to put in the hard work which is unusual around here but please tell me, what is it you are trying to achieve? From your posts it looks like you personally haven't settled on a time frame or goals which is going to make your life a bit difficult and confusing.
Even after nearly 5 years trading I'm still on my journey but there was a point where I really had to sit back and decide what I wanted and how I wanted to get there and basically because I was going nowhere. Nothing substitutes for hard work and screen time but it's futile spending 5000 hours flitting backwards and forwards between M15 and D1. You have to make a decision on where you want to be, what suits your personality and where you are comfortable. For me it's lower time frames 2-3 hours a day scalping 15-20 pips and compounding. My trading mate who uses the same system it's H4 because he has a very demanding job putting pace makers in peoples hearts so he can't sort of nip out every 15 minutes to snatch his 5-10 pips. Well I suppose he could but the death rate in New Zealand would probably rise.
Just decide what you want, what you have time for and go from there. Write it all down, all your rules, entries, exits and then stick to it, easier said than done I know but it has to be done. The planning behind trading and your own mindset is arguably the hardest thing you will do trading, anyone can push a buy or sell button.
I know you have issues with the TDI, so do I but this is only a personal opinion, it's basically an RSI with a MA thrown in, big deal. If MA crossovers worked we'd all be millionaires, lots of options out there Iddd. Good luck to both you and Tekkies.
