Disliked{quote} The mt4 terminal already provides latency (ping) times to trading servers, in my case it is 33 ms to reach London, where I connect to. OTOH my trades take consistently around 400-600 ms (commission based account, all times always adjusted for signal traveling time/ping), meaning that for open+close of a position it takes ~1000 ms. What is worse, I often can have more than one position at once and at some point I want to close out all. It can take "ages". It used to be better time ago. Tests with other brokers show that there is no problem...Ignored
Internet provider:
I am located in a remote location in the US.
A residential internet line is not the same as a corporate internet line .. There are differences, the corporate line is given priority over the residential data traffic.
This may not be the case in the UK, internet provider will be able to tell you if a corporate line has data priority over a residential line, both work well until the residential line has more traffic and FIFO (first in first out) is common increasing travel time.
In my case, I subscribed to the corporate line and my trade time reduced, my account address moved from Eastern US (Connecticut) to Mid West (Chicago) - Shorter distance, decreases enroute trade time.
Results:
Residential line: 250 - 400 MS
Corporate line: 68 - 180 MS
