Haven't been able to trade much these days. Puppies. They are eight weeks old now. Sent two off to a 2 year boot camp training. When they're done, they'll be gently pulling socks off disabled kids. Four are with me. I must train them. Ham. They'll do anything for ham. Jump, rear up on their hind legs, sit, poop in the exact spot I want, pee when and where I want them to. Eventually, they'll know my every mood and intent and always ready to act. Sharp dogs. Descendents of a trained police Dutch Shepherd and the Catahoula she did it with. Gotta train 'em or they go the wrong way.
Every now and then while training I slip up and drop a piece of ham. When using treats to train, the pieces are tiny - maybe 1/4" square pieces of ham, sometimes smaller. Ya don't wanna feed 'em, just reward em. Funny thing happens when i drop those tiny pieces of ham. They forget all their training and spend about 15 minutes fighting for that tiny scrap of ham. Frustrates me to know end, because it'll take a good couple months of them to form a strong habit to understand that if they'd just straighten up, fly right like they already know they'll be rewarded with an unlimited amount of ham. For now, they forget that reality and diminish their ham load for that one stupid morsel of ham on the floor.
That's what most of these traders on the tail end of this thread make me think about.
Just trade well. You'll get it, people! Consistency and discipline, just like the dogs.
Has nothing to do with my screen name, btw. Curious coincidence, tho.
