One of the reasons that you may get frustraded with mechanical trading (with MetaTrader) is you internet connection.
There are many times that you may lose a trade or do not enter a profitable one just because your machine was disconnected from Internet.
I received an advice from a friend at FF to get a VDS account. I took the advice and so far so good.
VDS or Virtual Dedicated Server enables you to install MetaTrader on a remote server. The service provider usually guarantees 99.9% connectivity to Internet.Even if your computer is disconnected from Internet, your MT4 session is up and running through VDS. On the other hand you can get connected to your server virtually from everywhere and check the status of your trades and account.
The VDS connection fee is different from provider to provider but you probably can find a good provider for 30 to 40 USD per month (i.e. 3 to 4 pips in standard lot).
Make sure to get a Windows VDS. MetaTrader is installed on Windows. I'm not quite sure if you can install MT4 in other OSs such as Linux.
If you have any questions about VDS I would be more than happy to answer. I am not an IT expert but I have some experience with VDS.
Good Luck,
Al
