Quoting narafaDislikedTrade Station offers trading for all types of markets, however, you will need to have multiple accounts with them, 1 for stocks, 1 for futures & 1 for forex...
Interactive Brokers are the guys you are looking for actually...They have a universal account in which you can trade almost anything in the world from 1 platform & through 1 account...This is the unique feature which made me open an account with them...If you decide to go with them, you will have to give up some features which you won't normally find...For example, their charts are poor compared to other brokers (Specially Trade Station)...You can't export the data of the chart into excel format...You can't create a mechanical system & backtest it like you do on the Trade Station platform...You don't have the luxury of so many technical indicators like other platforms..And so on...You can try the platform demo to judge by yourself.....
On the other hand, the platform is very powerful from the trade management point of view...You have the ability to add API programming, you can use conditioned orders (And not for related markets only, you can use a conditioned order like, if oil bid price reaches $60, place a limit order to short US 30 YR Bonds @ 112 5/32 for example), bracket orders, trailing stops (Both as percentage or points), multiple pages & so on...
The real power for the Interactive Brokers universal account comes from allowing you to trade as much markets as you would never imagine...(By the way, I am not affiliated to them by any mean, but I have been using them for over 6 months now & I am really impressed)...You can trade stocks in the US, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Japan & Australia...You can trade futures in all the major US futures exchanges, Canadaian futures exchanges, LIFFE & Euronext futures, Sydney futures exchange & many others...You can trade forex as well, they work as an ECN & get you the best currency spot rates from the interbank market, spreads are usually 1-2 pips but you pay a commission...And their trading commissions are real real low compared to many brokers outside...
I know that I seem to be marketing for the guys, but actually I am not..I am just telling you how good they are & you will have to check by yourself before you decide...
If you need any more information about them or have any specific questions, you are most welcomed to PM me & I will answer all your questions...
Thanks,
NaderIgnored
