Hi. I am posting this in the forex dicussion, because I don't consider myself a rookie anymore. Some may think that trading forex for only a short time such as 3 months may be considered new, but I don't think so.
Reason I am posting this, is to share my experiences, and to share what I have learned, and maybe get some insight to trading as well.
Question is, does forex speak to you? At times, I feel that it does. If you know the language , you will do well. I've read many methods and systems, and I still trade naked charts, because I feel that gives me the best way to trade. I look at daily charts and look for patterns. Sometimes I do very well, and sometimes greed takes hold. I'll explain.
Say that you know a pair is going down in the long run, but you don't have enough capital to hold your position. Then make the money, and run. So many times I have held positions only to break even at the end of the day, but if I had held the position for a week, I would have made money.
I feel that it's important to make money on a daily basis. If you are ahead, and made money, get out, and get in the same position the next day. Usually it is going to retrace, and take away most of your profit, so it's better get out with profit, then hold a position, unless you have a very good entree point.
I have no problems with "emotional trading" I do not make very big losses ever, but I have a problem with thinking that it will go farther than it does, and attempt to make more money than I have already.
I don't know how most people trade on a daily basis, but these are my thoughts and experiences so far, and I feel that patience, timing, is the most important. I wish that everyone have a profitable trading week next week, and meet the women of their dreams.
I feel that there are 2 things that can drag a person down. 1 is that they can make money, and then lose money, or make no money at all. This can make a person feel not very good. Another , is that they can feel that they can't meet a woman. I feel that both things, are important to have confidence in.
I hope for everyone to make great trades this week, and get out while they are ahead, and also for them to meet a great woman this week.'
I hope that some relate to this post, and if anyone have advice on trading, feel free. I feel that sometimes during London session you can start off making money and feeling good, and then all of the sudden in the morning, you lose it all. That's why I say, make money and take it. Don't wait. Ok, that's enough for my rant tonight. Later gents and ladies.
