Quoting ahaDislikedHi guys,
Here is something I made based on the method here: http://www.forexfactory.com/forexfor...5&page=1&pp=15.
The method sounds really interesting, but I am not sure if I understand the method correctly. If you guys can help me debug these indicators I may be able to improve it to 70% trend reversal success rate as they claimed (that's huge, isn't it?!)

Quoting ToothmanDislikedAHA,
Thank you for all your work and creating this thread. I have the Bago AHA zip downloaded to my MT4 platform and its on my indicators list. So if I understand you, each alert will send me an e-mail. My question is, how do I modify it to send me a text message at the same time? thanks muchIgnored
Quoting weghioDislikedHello aha,
In the thread you linked there was an indicator complete with the first 9 steps to setup the trade, but as you recognized it was missing the final 13 countdown steps. Is this what you have tried to implement? If so it would be helpful if you could include the numbering process and have it actually show on the chart so that it would be easier to manually confirm and check for any errors, etc. Thanks for your efforts!Ignored
Quoting Horace KentDislikedHi Aha,
I downloaded both 'demark sequential' indicators you created. I don't see a countdown on either. Please advise me on what the indicators are doing. Great idea trying to code that by the way. Thank you for your efforts.
best,

Quoting ahaDislikedHK,
I haven't implemented numbering yet. But they should put some marks on your chart to signal trend reversal. Arrows appears when there is a setup completed, pointing fingers appears when a countdown completes. The small marks are regular setups or countdowns, large marks are for perfect setup and countdowns.

Quoting clam61Dislikedhi aha, just chiming in on this thread.
i coded a sequential indicator and it has countdown as well. the indicator is in the initial stages...i still need clarification on the algorithm, details and download found here:

Quoting ahaDislikedOk guys, the attached is the version 0.2 of TD Trend Reversal Indicator, with numbering on. Let's test if there are bugs in it.
I think this is something. Even though it couldn't pinpoint the reversal day each time, but it does give you indication that the trend is exhausted with a high successful rate.

Quoting weghioDislikedHi aha,
Now we can definitely work with this! OK, the first thing that jumped out at me...
According to TD, there is a qualifier for Countdown bar 13. I'll just quote from one of the pdf: "The low of buy Countdown bar 13 must be less than or equal to the close of Countdown bar 8." I'm sure the same principle applies for sell Countdown bar 13, just in reverse - that is, the high of sell Countdown bar 13 must be higher than or equal to the close of Countdown bar 8.
For example, in the graph below, where the buy Countdown bar 13 is indicated towards the right, we can see that the low of this bar is NOT less than or equal to to the close of Countdown bar 8 (as marked by the red horizontal line). Therefore this is not a valid Countdown bar 13. The indicator should be adjusted to take this critical factor into account.
I'll keep checking and let you know of anything else that comes up. Thanks very much for your work!Ignored
Quoting ahaDislikedWhat you talked about is a perfect countdown situation, the indicator does have that logic built-in. For perfect ones the arrow will be larger, for not so perfect ones it will still give a arrow, just small in size.
Note that the color is still the same. So the up arrow at the left of your chart was a setup signal (not perfect one neither), not a count down signal.
You will find the difference when you see the perfect countdown signal.Ignored
