Quoting BeachBumDislikedCan you post the indicator list as described earlier for us? This code means nothing to me.
I have just saved the template and zipped it so that it could be uploaded and easy for download.Pls check and let me know if there is any problem again and you could as well tell me what next to do incase it doesnt go through.Did u get my PM?Ignored
Quoting pharmadapDislikedHello,
I am sorry as i dont kno much about the mq4 files and the template.I think i told you how i got to know about this indicator. Now,i have it in my MT4 here but to successfully put the file out if the problem.Did you use the second file i posted or the first??Ignored
Quoting DaveWDislikedpharmadap
The latest zipped template loads up OK but still only gives a blank screen containing the price bars only. For your template to work on my machine it needs to access the same MQ4 files that you have in your indicator folder (the template is ony an instruction for the platform to load certain files which you already have sitting in your indicator folder). If you can just send a screen shot of the list of files you have in your indicator folder then we can work it out from there.
Thanks

Quoting gtketumDislikedok i loaded the template and noticed that this is similar to the tlatomi method. the indicator that plots the red and blue dots is the silver trend and then the next indicator is the fx sniper.
so how do you get those support and resistance levels to apply to your method as previously described?Ignored
Quoting Gee SevenDislikedI loaded the indicator you posted into the proper area of MT4. When I clicked it for loading onto the chart it didn't load. I've noticed that I have several EAs I've clicked that do the same. The ones I have that do run would always pop up a window when I clicked on it to load. This has always confused me with MT4. What EAs or indicators will load and what will not. I put it into the "Indicators" file like I've done others that do work. Lovely charting program when it works for me. I sure do hope to get an hourly alert chart up and running for the Fozzy. Thanks for the work you did on the alert, I'm just not sure how to get it working. BTW, I compiled it from the editor also.Ignored
Quoting BeachBumDislikeddave..............he only has one indicator in his template, it's the 'SHI_SilverTrendSig'. Very common. If you don't have it, go to the MT website and download it. Then go back to his post from this AM and read how he uses it.Ignored
Quoting DaveWDislikedRegarding the Camarillas, I have noticed that on those days immediately following the Fozzy signal the price will invariably retrace to the H3 or L3 then continue to move in the direction indicated by Fozzy until it hits the opposite H3/L3. Depending on the pairs and the previous day's range the distance between the H3 and L3 varies between 10-15 pips up to 60-70 pips.
Setting a Limit Buy/Sell at the H3/L3 opposite to the direction indicated by Fozzy with a Take Profit at the other H3/L3 would have resulted in a total of 248 pips this week so far taking all the Fozzy signals for a total of 9 trades (3 pairs with the Fozzy signals did not trigger the trades as they never reached the initial Limit stop). I use the ATR as an initial stop loss and cancel the Limit Buy/Sell if it has not triggered by New York opening.
This method is difficult to back test as the Camarillas change each day and do not show on the historic charts.
I was prompted to investigate this method of trading the Fozzy signals by an observation made by someone earlier (I think it was BB) that the majority of Fozzy trades retraced immediately after they are set.
This method might miss the big moves but could provide a nice steady income without having to sweat over when to take profit.
A quick glance at the charts will show that virtually all the pairs bounce from one H/L3 to the other in the course of a days trading. A judicious use of Money management would take into account the occasional loss.
Anyway, for what it is worth I thought I might add to SteveCartwright's contribution.

Quoting stevecartwrightDislikedJust to saythat I can change the script to show on all bars going back x if it helps anyone.Ignored
Quoting stevecartwrightDislikedI did some testing of something called Silversomeing last year that produced dots. I found that the dots, the old ones not current bar, actually moved as the prices changed over following bars. Some indicators don't calculate correctly and there was a big debate on this on another forum I used to communicate with. (On Yahoo). Its somethingto do with using forward data and applying it retrospectively. Didn't really get into that to much.Ignored
Quoting BeachBumDislikedOK...............well done pharmadap!
I have your template on a chart. The only indicator is 'SHI_SilverTrendSig'. This is a common indicator. How are you using this with the fozzy method?
Hi BB
Reading between the lines I reckon pharmadaps method is very similar to trading Fozzy with the Camarillas.
His method - When you have a silvertrend dot indicating a buy then wait for the price to retrace to the nearest support line before entering the BUY trade.
My method - When Fozzy indicates a Buy wait until the price retraces to the L3 line before entering the BUY.
I think both are valid methods and considering he only had 2 losing trades this year it seems to be viable.
I much prefer Fozzy now that I started using it together with the Camarilla s/r lines. This week produced 11 trades and approx 300 pips profit. Today there were 2 trades eur/aud and eur/chfIgnored
Quoting DaveWDislikedSteve
That would be very helpful if you could so that. It would allow me to backtest without having to work the formula for every pair every day.
Thanking you in advance

Quoting stevecartwrightDislikedDave,
As requested. It goes back 200 bars. This can be changed by going into the script and changing it. Its obvious where it is. Good luck with it. Any problems let me know.
Also Clear ALL does what it says, clears ALL objects not indicators. You may need it wih all those Camarilla points on the screen.Ignored
