Disliked{quote} Your chart is a really nice example of absorption volume. You have an area of consolidation (marked in orange) then high volume pushing up and through (marked in blue). Thanks for your journal, been reading it the past few days and enjoying it. {image}Ignored
Disliked{quote} Rmieck, thank you for your opinion, you have helped me with my perspective on things and I will bear it mind. On the whole this thread has had a very positive vibe and I believe a lot of that is down to the fact that the trade explorer is visible. I think perhaps it gives some a little hope because it shows what is possible even with a small account starting balance - I do think it would be a shame to hide it at this stage so I think I will see how things go for now. There is no ego here with me and I am just trying[/highlight]...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Hey mate, just noticed your post. Thanks for your comments. Can you explain a little more about volume absorption?Ignored
DislikedThe 3 RSI can be useful for timing entries on pullbacks. That is why I have it on my charts and I talked about it in great detail in my previous thread. It's good to see people starting to think a little more now about how to apply this volume malarkey.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Hi Wiz, Just a suggestion but have you ever used TDI to help with entries?Ignored
Disliked{quote} Its a VSA concept, easy to understand. When you see high volume come in, look to the left and look for areas of consolidation and see if price pushes through the consolidation area. If it does push through then the high volume was absorption and you can assume that price will continue in the direction of the push. EURJPY May 16th If you look at the black square you have high volume, to the left we have an area of consolidation marked in a orange square. If price pushes below that orange square look for shorts. The black circle is high volume...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Hi Wizlon32, thank you for that i think you are really inspiring traders here i am happy to discover this thread as i am using market structure, S/R, trendline, and was used to use pvsra as well but i think i never really understand the proper way to use volume.. until now just took my all day to read your whole thread ! so please count me in, subscribed and wish you the best for you new account.Ignored
DislikedWe see across most threads various methods to find the optimum point of entries. For me, there are some key factors in choosing a method and must include: reliability, repeatability, flexibility, versatility, opportunity ....and such like. Top of my list, however, when all the above has been taken into account (that I need that is) is the ease with which it can be implemented. We know that there are many methods that can work, but there are only a few imo on all these threads that captures what most people seek...ie accuracy and ease. Nothing at...Ignored
DislikedThanks for doing this thread wiz! I trade the H1 and the M15 timeframes with PA and volume, so this is very interesting for me. Until i found this i was thinking, that the M1 timeframe is pretty much useless because of to much spiking, so i did never really look at it But since i hate waiting out trades for several hours, i think i want to tryout scalping a bit to see if it fits me! Keeping it simple is the key, but the one thing i struggled a bit while reading through your posts is, that you said you pretty much dont pay attention to...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Hi metta87. No I would normally aim to stay in the trade until a block prints in the opposite direction signalling a possible reversal. Sometimes I will also stay longer with a SL set at at least BE. I haven't been using Renko lately mainly due to a lack of screens but I plan to start again.Ignored
DislikedEG H4 and D1 looks bearish but I think the interest is at the lows. We will seeIgnored
