About Me: I am 24 years old and like many of you out here, am currently working on becoming a consistent, profitable trader to hopefully one day have the opportunity to retire from the 9-5 system. I am in the military AD at the moment and deployed overseas as we speak. Many of us have the wishful thinking that we are going to turn $100 into thousands of dollars in a matter of weeks, including myself. It doesnt help that there are salespeople all over the web promoting these lies. I welcome all new traders that might have any questions or doubts to reach out to me as I am more than happy to help in any way I can and do not expect anything in return besides a new friendship with mutual goals. Im an open-book to all as I did not make it to where I am today all on my own. Just keep in mind it may take me a while to get back to you at the time due to my military duties. After all, I decided to make this page in an effort to have every new FX trader in this forum see something I truly believe is paramount that they need to understand from the get-go. Take a look below and please help me share this to all new traders. Thank you all.

This is my first time sharing my views on a forum and probably my last one for a few years until I become a consistent, profitable trader myself. I hope this article reaches out to as many new traders as possible that embark on this journey and has a profound effect on them. Let me explain. I traded stocks for a year and managed to breakeven, which I considered a milestone as you must survive in the financial markets before you can thrive, dont let anyone else tell you otherwise. Around this time I started learning about options (calls and puts) but then was shortly introduced to the foreign exchange market and havent looked back. I made it my mission to become proficient in the largest market in the world. I began to self-teach myself in all aspects of trading forex. I was relatively new to Instagram as well and started following pages that pertain to trading. And thats when it happen, my newsfeed was full of these proclaiming gurus. It is a constant battle between these gurus to see who has the most extravagant posts and who successfully sells new traders false hope. These gurus are not real traders. They are salespeople with very little (if any) actual market experience capitalizing on the hardship all new traders must go through to sell them a get-rich-quick scheme. I too have been a victim to this sickening phenomenon present in todays social media. I reached out to a trader on Instagram that to a struggling trader (I) seemed genuine and I was ready to get the help I could find. His posts were not as extravagant as the others I have encountered, but after roughly two months in his group it was apparent I was too sold on false hope.
I quickly removed myself from the group and found myself alone but more determined than ever to succeed and remain persistent in my goals of becoming an elite trader. Soon after, I decided to use my Instagram page to track my evolution as a trader and for it to become the basis that debunks the myth of overnight success in the exchange market. I have been trading currency for about 8 months now and about a month ago another trader's Instagram appeared on my newsfeed. I unconsciously click on the page and began to investigate the page further and it was one of the rare pages that did not sell you the false hope Instagram is infested with. As I click through each post I saw what appeared to be a genuine trader assisting new traders with questions down in the comments section. One of the posts that struck me the most revealed this trader has ten years of market experience and is sharing his wisdom with other traders with no strings attached. Forex is a long arduous journey, one of the rare times you hear the truth of what it will take to become a successful trader. It was truly remarkable.
I soon found myself sending this trader private DMs whenever I had the chance, with the goal of educating myself even further from a trader that has already crossed the path I am currently on. I learned a lot about his character from his responses and knew this is the caliber of trader that will enhance my own trading. Soon, I inquired him if it would be possible to have a session with him so I can see how the market analysis unfolds from someone with that many years of market experience. To my surprise, a one on one live mentoring was offered that disclose a top-down analysis of the charts through the eyes of a seasoned trader. I was grateful for the indispensable foundation I was granted that I now can build upon. I cannot emphasize enough the importance of perfect practice makes perfect in the trading world. Without it, the learning curve will take many years of trial and error. If this trader ever creates a community, he can count on my subscription. I will privately bring up the subject and get his blessings before I post this on any forums.
I did not write this article with any intentions of recognition or because I am affiliated to this trader. My only reasoning behind this is I am sick and tired of seeing these salespeople on Instagram buying and selling huge lots on demo and calling themselves traders, giving the false illusion that forex is something easily attainable to new aspiring traders. At the end of the day, aspiring traders will need to invest on education or the markets will end up taking their money with more ease in the initial phase of your learning. Dont forget, your goal is to first survive. Invest in quality training, and look for mentors that possess the same quality traits as the ones I have mentioned. That is the best advice I can give any new aspiring trader. This will tremendously cut your learning curve.
If you have any questions, I am here to help at no cost as I am on my own journey to becoming a real trader. I acknowledge now that I cannot offer you any services simply because I do not have the market experience needed to do so. Its still a long arduous journey for me. That is it, happy trading!
