DislikedLatency shouldn't be an issue, I generally ping about 20ms to the trade server. I do suspect however there may be an issue with how the the broker routes orders out through STP.Ignored
Hi,
that is really fast!
I have a ping time of 70 to 80 ms to my main broker ....
Many retail trader I know have 300 to 500 ms latency.
Referring to the same document, fti was relating to (CEO statement), in comparioson to the speed with that the quotes come in at brokers side, 300 or 500 ms is really a large time ...
On the other hand: I really do not get that 5 digit thingy.
Usually, when you send a market or limit order to your broker, you also send a defined amount of slippage pips with it. So it means you do not need to hit the quote axactly. The price have to be in that range and you'll get your fill immediatley (when there is no other problem) ...
Using that defined "slippage range" offers already good opportunities to make money on every trade for the broker. ....
But in that topic I'm a bloody beginner only. I can only state, that I get fills even in jerky market conditions without a requote ....
But back to my charts now :-)
CU,
Niels
