DislikedI don't know know much about economics, but it seems to me that to end this 20 year deflation cycle they are stuck in, and to end the Yens strength, the answer is pretty simple. Print shit loads of Yen and flood the market with it. An oversupply of Yen will bring down the value of the Yen....a first year student could figure that out. Yes, prinitng money causes inflation, but....hello.....inflation is the opposit of deflation isn't it?
Can the solution be so simple?Ignored
DislikedI was asking the same question to this forum, but no clear answer of that. In my opinion to weaken a currency is far more easier than to strengthen it. Ask zimbabwe for that.
I guess, if the gov print out the money, then people who save their money in yen will be mad, and then it will be disaster for the gov (political impact). That's my stupid opinion..Ignored
DislikedI would imagine that the reason for preferring long at this time is because of being close to the lows, therefore while it is still possible to scalp short, there is far more room for it to go up than down, and it is probably more likely.Ignored
DislikedAnything can happen but the probability of going to 79 won't be much higher than a probability of intervention. More bigheads must be interested in keeping Japan afloat.
Rationale like this (big boys moving it more down) contradicts a rule not to sell at the bottom. Both, however, have their reason and as many here use to say: anything can happen. I personally will be longing the pair until an intervention or decent retracement puts me into lucrative greens...Ignored
Dislikedyep, we see some spikes up last time, maybe big boys start closing shorts
