DislikedJust went long on EURUSD Template 1 (Moving Averages) Price crossed north of all moving averages Non-Lag MA turned blue on a bullish bar, so that's a long signal Price cleared the BBMid which is also good for longs. Price action on the 1H shows a kangaroo tail right after a bullish bar. Some may think it's a bearish signal... but it didn't occur at the top of a move. So the price rejection at the top isn't because of supply... it's because of Demand..... (ie,. higher demand than supply = lower prices) Template 2 (ZZB) This one is all over the place.......Ignored
Disliked{quote} Stopped out. Will evaluate a re-entry if warranted... not gonna chase.Ignored
Disliked2 longs on USDCHF (one was a mistake that I couldn't manage in time cos of work... bah!) 3 shorts on EURJPY (one was a mistake done at the same time as USDCHF... but I am biased short on EJ) 1 long on AUDCHF which is a scalp 1 short on EURUSD (which is in tandem with the 2 shorts on EJ) EDIT: The EJ trades are looking "spectacular" .... Not!Ignored
DislikedRealised just an hour ago that I miskeyed the lot size and entered 5 instead if 0.5!!! What a disaster! I'm not sure how to manage this.... Thankfully only one trade. It was meant to be a small tester.... Ther goes that idea! aargh!Ignored
The latter has helped me make more sense of cross-paired correlations. Some of which I already knew, but lots of extra bits has allowed me to stop looking for bad trades when volatility is low by looking at other pairs. I'm basing most things on the movement of Dollar. Hence why of late, I've been diving into the Aussie and Yen crosses against the $. CHF as well although arguably, this is equivalent to USD.
Mark Douglas' book came after I was speaking to another trader friend of mine - and he gave me advice that was the opposite of others. "Don't be too rigid" is what he said to me. "Get more of a feel" After the first couple of chapters, I'm buzzed. You may notice that there are some stops on my pendings! LOL...
They're starting to come in now..... this book has helped to flesh that reasoning out.... ie. Defining "MY" risk.
Hope all is well with you! Green Pips to you!
DislikedSome good scalps this morning. Here's what I'm seeing on EURUSD. Template 1 shows ZZB formed and right on 300EMA and above a DS Zone which I think will be touched for a support bounce. I have a pending long on 35077 which has been a DS Zone upper price. So I am biased Long. My 1st trade was not triggered by my safer Moving Average (Template 2) cross... but I suspect that my 2nd trade will be triggered and Template 2 will indicate a long. Let's see what happens... I will put a SL soon. {image} {image}Ignored
