good trading today
using entry rules of original system again, made a ton of (demo) money on EU short, EG short, and UCH long. my demo account is almost back to breakeven of £10,000 after a low of ~ £8650 a few days back (including losses from the monday 19th slaughter). lets see if i can maintain in the green going forward.
using the MPTM (very useful) trade manager with the settings attached (25 pip breakeven, half close at breakeven, 15 pip jumping stop after breakeven to lock in remainder of move)
seemed to have worked very well yesterday and today.
note: the settings use a stoploss of 40 pips as opposed to 70 as laid out in original system. for now i am testing a reduced stoploss, albeit against the advice of enzo, on the basis that a trade if lined up correctly should not need in most cases 70 pips of breathing room. again, i am probably wrong because i do trust enzo's many months of experience using his system, but sheeeeeit, lets see if i can get away with this.
these settings also assume a trade size of 1 lot for the part close routines after breakeven. if you are using other lot size adjust values of part close accordingly. also, remember to enable expert advisers on your mt4 platform.
note2: for some reason unbeknownst to me, some brokers require an extra '0' in front of the values to work properly, and i am talking about even between 5 digit brokers. for example i am testing navarra on 5-digit FXCM demo and in the MPTM EA 15 pips is 15, whereas on DF Markets, another 5-digit broker, you would need to add a zero. test it on your broker those who want to use it, and if you get invalid stops errors you probably need to add a zero.
note3: ps attach the MPTM to any currency pair, any timeframe, preferably high tick rate pair like GBPJPY or EURUSD, on a separate chart. the settings will handle all trades. ***IMPORTANT*** you will also need to rename the settings file suffix from .txt to .set -
for some reason this board does not allow attachment of files ending .set
am sitting on my hands as usual for tomorrow due to friday volatility. although having said that, the MPTM settings attached *should* breakeven/lock in pips in the event of trade moving in favour and subsequent reversal, but having said that i am a creature of habit and will stay out tomorrow.
good trading people lets all share tips and go forward together thanks again to enzo for the system
