Dislikedhi guys
i am trying to understand why the CITIGROUP Deficit of Billions would affect the G/J to go DOWN? isnt that a US Bank? wouldnt that be Dollar negative GBP positive? or is it because DOW might tank because of it thus a direct DOWN correlation to DOW so G/J wiould tank?
thanks

Of DOW JONES NEWSWIRES
NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Citigroup Inc. (C) is expected to name Robert Rubin as its chairman and Sir Win Bischoff as interim chief executive, following the resignation Sunday of Chairman and CEO Charles Prince, according to people familiar with the matter.
Rubin, former U.S. Treasury secretary, has been chairman of the executive committee on Citigroup's board for the past eight years. Bischoff is the chairman of Citigroup's European businesses and former CEO of Schroders PLC (SDR.LN).
An announcement of the new leadership structure could come later Sunday or Monday morning.
Meanwhile, Citigroup is poised to report billions of dollars in additional writedowns on mortgage-related securities, according to people familiar with the matter. Estimates of the writedowns ranged from $8 billion to $11 billion. That would far surpass the roughly $2.2 billion in mortgage-related writedowns and trading losses that Citigroup reported in its third-quarter earnings last month.

DislikedJust a heads up on oil. Mexico's exports have essentially stopped over the last two weeks because of storms in the gulf, damage to drilling platforms, and now the major flooding. We will see significant drops in oil storage levels in the US in the next two petroleum reports. If oil doesn't break $100/barrel this week, it is almost guaranteed to do so next week.
I think the $100/barrel will create significant bearish sentiment in the US stock market.Ignored
