Disliked{quote} on my brokers website it says it is the "DE30 Xetra DAX Index". let me know if you could find itIgnored
Dislikedanother question i want to trade range bars but i can only trade the us and early asian session is this possible ? i want trade the 5 min or 1 min chart, but range bars sounds betterIgnored
Disliked{quote} well, during asia session it goes up to 8 points! when Frankfurt opens it goes down to 2 points. and when London opens it is only 1 point the rest of the day. At least as far I had an eye on it. Don't know how it is when its late evening here in Germany because I stop trading at 5 or 6 pm here... EDIT: sorry, forgot to mention the Broker. Iam with ICMarkets, just Google it. (btw Iam not recommending nor advertising anything regarding broker )Ignored

Disliked{quote} well, should be quiet easy to get a work&travel visa for NZ and then try to work on the next higher visa to stay longer I used to live for 8 month in Australia back in 2009. Really nice experienceIgnored
I am a lowly junior member as of today. I have been trading range bars for about 4 years now, which definitely improved my trading. I primarily trade currency futures, once in awhile commodities and fx. Futures in general cost me less in taxes than fx even though i day trade. Recently I've been tweaking a system I use which I call the squeeze. It is not my creation just something I've picked up over the years and modified for my own use. Since I live in Mexico I can trade from 11pm to 3am which covers the London open.
I set my range bars for the ATR.
My charts have:
Bollinger Bands with setting of 20 and std dev. of 2 and -2
Keltner Channels with setting of 20 and factor of 2
RSI set at 20 with OB 55 and OS 45 overlayed with ADX set at 14(RSI and settings picked up from Forex Factory thread)
Start looking for trades when Bollinger Bands move inside of Keltner Channel
Draw a time line when BB moves inside Keltner Channel
Draw Price lines at first swing hi and swing lo
Wait for price to close above or below one of price lines
Enter long when swing hi price line is broken and RSI is above 55 and ADX is turning up
Enter short when swing lo price line is broken and RSI is below 45 and ADX is turning up
I would add a screen shot of my chart but don't know how yet.
